CVW Takes Part in Arabesque Opening Night

On February 23rd, 2009 CVW helped kick off the three week festival "Arabesque: Arts of the Arab World" taking place at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. The festival takes place from February 23rd until March 15th and is shaping up to be the largest presentation of Arab arts ever in the United States. Creative Video provided multiple projectors to make the opening night come to life. Using a 20K Barco projector for front screen projection, along with our 12K Eiki projector we were able to project crisp, eye catching images of the desert, the sun, and other patterns while the musicians were on stage. The Grass Valley Turbo was used to run motion graphics during the performances. With multiple Screen pro II switchers, along with the Screen Pro controller, Technical Director Matt Eidemiller was able to control which screens would receive images that were created in both 16x9 and 4x3 aspect ratios. The night ended on a high note as Marcel Khalife performed with other artists as the crowd sang along to end the first night of this historic Arab festival.
