Client Services/Operations Manager
Joe Brown joins Creative Video of Washington as the Operations/Client Services Manager in January of 2012. He has worked consistently with CVW in many different capacities since 2007. In his new role, Brown will be responsible for maintaining equipment inventory and handle all aspects of equipment rentals. He will also serve as the lead staff audio technician. In addition to these functions, Brown will establish new client relationships for future events and ultimately assist in the expansion of Creative Video’s client base.
Brown first came into the business as an intern for Cal Ripken’s Class A baseball team, the Aberdeen Ironbirds. He worked as a camera operator, editor, and was the audio tech for the majority of the 2007 season. Since 2007, he has free-lanced in many different areas of the production world. Brown has a vast amount of experience in the live event arena, and has been a part of numerous commercials, PSAs’, and television/film industry projects. He’s an experienced camera operator, projectionist, grip/lighting technician, and audio tech. Some of his projects over the last few years include, set designer/set coordinator for two seasons of Emeril Green (160 episodes), art swing for The Biggest Loser 8 D.C. edition, office/set assistant in D.C. for the movie “SALT”, production coordinator for Dominion Power commercial, and contributed on the pilot for the Showtime series “Homeland”.
Joe Brown graduated from Aurora University with a B.A. in Mass Communication with a television production emphasis. While at AU, he served as the Sports Information Director. Joe covered all sports at AU and was responsible for writing press releases, producing media relation guides, and was the statistical keeper for all sports. Brown also graduated from Connecticut School of Broadcasting. The education was intense, hands on training in radio/television operations and performance. The curriculum included studio operations, audio production/editing, speech training, video production/editing, copywriting, music selection, and broadcast journalism. Brown has always been passionate about furthering his education in all aspects of the production business. Joe was happily married in 2011 and currently lives in Maryland with his wife, Tamiko.
