The National Coalition for Cancer Survivors celebrated its 25th annual “Rays of Hope” Gala on November 3 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in downtown Washington. The event recognized extraordinary accomplishments and contributions to the area of cancer survivorship by both individuals and organizations.
Creative Video, working alongside Dufour and Company Productions, was there to help emphasize the impact of the evening. CVW supplied both the audio and video elements to the evening, using a blend of high impact visual elements and crisp audio production to captivate the audience throughout the evening.
Vice President of Production and event technical director Matthew Eidemiller used a Folsom ScreenPro II two camera switch to capture awards given to The Honorable Bob Dole, The Honorable Lois Capps, and The Honorable Charles W. Boustany, Jr., among others. Audio technican Andrew Logan used Electro Voice’s LiveX speaker system to amplify all of the audio throughout the auditorium. Also assisting on the show were camera operators Joe Brown and Aaron Thompson.
The event was a resounding success, and helped to create awareness of NCCS’s work on behalf of
cancer survivors. Attendees included cancer survivors, physicians and researchers as well as corporate representatives, philanthropists, congressional members and media.
