Peter Roof
Special Projects Manager, Chief Photographer,
& Aerial Videographer
Peter Roof started in production early in his career as a member of Annandale (Va.) High School's stage crew. He continued stage craft while earning his BA at Western Maryland College. While there he started taking still photographs for student publications. He interned and worked as a part-time photographer for the Carroll County (Md.) Times, the local daily paper in the college town.
He transitioned to television production when Carroll County's local cable company started making local programming. Since 1989 he has been working with Creative Video as a regular on this company's freelance crew roster. For many years he was a vendor offering CV and other clients crewing services through his own company, In House Media Associates. In 2001 he brought his services in to the Creative Video company and is now on staff as the Special Projects Manager.
From working with potential clients to steering a camera, you can find Peter working in nearly any phase of a job. He has helped CV refine the quality of its video by working closely with staff, clients, and crew to make sure they are getting the highest quality images possible. When not working on client projects he may be shooting for national news bureaus or local DC broadcast news programs either on the ground or in a helicopter. He is CVs source for aerial video and is one of the few offering that service in this market.
Since Peter is out on jobs most of the time you'll probably won't not find him in the office. The best way to reach him is via e-mail or mobile phone. For more info please visit his web site: http://tvmercenary.home.comcast.net/start.htm |
