One of our skilled writers will meet with you to review the scope and intent of the project. If necessary a follow up input meeting will occur. Depending on the type of project our writer will proceed as follows.
Interview Based Script
For a project based on interviews, he/she will develop interview questions that will elicit the desired answers. Following the interviews, transcripts will be made and a draft script prepared. The script will concentrate on the sections of the interviews that best tell the story. It will also include what ever off camera narration is necessary to tie the script together. Following client review of the written script the editing begins on the ruff cut or first draft of the video. This will focus on the selected interviews, narration and B-roll. Major transitions, special effects, music and lower thirds will not be included at this point. Following review with the client, a second draft video will be prepared with the changes and more of transitions, effects and lower thirds. Following client review of the second draft, preparation of the final video is completed, which will have all elements in place and bead music and or credits added.
Award, Anniversary, Annual Report, Membership Script
For a project that does not have interviews, or can be written prior to shooting them, our writer will meet with you to review the scope and intent of the project. If necessary a follow up input meeting will occur. He/she will prepare either an outline and or first draft script. If an outline is developed, it is to confirm the scripts direction. If the direction is clear, a first drat is written. This draft will have some holes in it where client input is necessary, and will concentrate on developing the visualization of the script. Following client review we begin creating the first draft of the video. It will have the narration, B-roll, interviews, and graphics. Music will not be added until the final edit. Following client review, the final video will be edited with music and any final changes.
In both cases, if a final script is required for printing, it will be written following completion of the video and may require transcription, based on length.
