Kirby Whyte

Kirby Whyte, President

Kirby Whyte, founder of Creative Video of Washington, has been the President and Executive Producer for the company since it’s beginning in 1981.  In addition, he plays many other vital roles for the business including interviewer, director, cameraman and narrator.

Hard work, dedication and excellent service have enabled the company to grow over the years.  Through Kirby’s strong leadership, Creative Video has successfully grown from a small one-camera, two-person operation to a full service production company that does so much more than just shoot and edit projects.  Kirby has also been the company’s head projectionist as the convention business expanded.

Creative Video grew from a single three tube video projector used in the company’s beginnings to the latest digital cinema high definition projectors and screens of today.  Creative Video produces and stages conventions, meetings and special events all over the country, and produces hundreds of video projects from its facilities in Tysons Corner.  It has one of the few green screen studios in Northern Virginia, which Kirby designed to include dedicated air conditioning and a lighting grid that he also designed and installed.  In short, Kirby is a hands-on executive who is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
